Our Scotland trip has finally came to an end. On one hand, I was sad the holidays came to an end but on the other hand I was also very pleased to be home.
The journey began on 13th April. We set off to Worcester to pick up my mother in law. Our little one was so excited as he knew he was going to spend time with his grandma. Of course the thought of spending 10 days sleeping with daddy and mummy must have crossed his mind too! The drive from Worcester to Glasgow was filled with excitement. We set off at 8.30am on 15th April. My mother in law was very kind to prepare sandwiches so we could have a picnic at Lake District.
At about noon time, we arrived Lake district. It was so beautiful. I wished we had stayed over. My mother in law realised she had forgot to bring her film - yes she was still using film camera. I volunteered to get one for her. You might have guessed it! I went into shops after shops to ask for a film and the shop keeper thought I was asking for the impossible. One of the lady guided me to a camera shop which would take about 30 minutes to walk to. I was determined to buy the film and so set off. Silly me - not telling where I was going, my mother in law and husband thought I had lost my way. There was no way they could contact me as I didn't bring my handphone along with me. Anyway after about 45 minutes, I was back. Clearly my mother in law and husband heaved a sign of relief!
After spending about 2 hours in Lake district, we set off to Glasgow. The journey was smooth. We did have a little problem finding Marriott Hotel. As I have been to other Marriott Hotels in Asia, I was fairly disappointed with the exterior. Apart from the exterior, the service staff was very friendly and the room was fairly comfortable. Whenever we encountered problems, the service staff solved it in a friendly and professional way.
When our little sunshine saw the room, he was shouting for joy - Mummy, daddy, mama! He jumped onto the bed and quickly took his place. All of us could not help but laughed at him!
It was a long day and we decided to have dinner in the hotel's restaurant. The food was fine - not exceptional but acceptable. We decided to retire early after a long day and hoping we would look our best during the wedding.
That's all for now as I am also keeping my eyes on election results.
